Review: Matis Comfort Cleansing Oil

Hi loves! I wear a lot of makeup and the easiest way to get it off is with cleansing oil and I have been testing out Matis Comfort Cleansing Oil (200ml). It comes in a bottle and has a pump, which makes getting it out so easy.

I have used it since spring and its so far my favorite cleansing oil. Its meant to use on face and eyes. Its with cranberry oil and it helps to keep the skin radiant. Apricot oil has softening and moisturizing properties.

The oil is light weight oil and I use 3 pumps to remove my makeup. It melts away everything, even my waterproof makeup and I don't need to use anything else. When the weather is colder I do feel it is bit drying, but on the warmer months I didn't feel it at all (my skin is more oily then).

Now that the weather is colder I have changed the cleanser I use after this cleansing oil, which is more hydrating and after two step cleansing my skin feels more hydrated and not stripped from moisture, but at the same time its clean and all the makeup/dirt is off.

All the info on the ingredients is from EWG's Skin Deep Cosmetics Database(low hazardmedium hazardhigh hazard). If I haven't colored an ingredient it means I didn't find it in the database.

Because of the red level ingredients I don't think it would be best for sensitive skin type. It hasn't caused my skin to brake out or irritate it in any way. My skin type is oily by the way :)

I'm not happy to see so many high hazard ingredients. But I'll keep using it, because it is nice and one of the best oil cleansers I have used so far.

Which is your favorite cleansing oil?

Review: Isadora Matte Metallic Liquid Lipstick

Hi loves! I have been loving liquid lipsticks and I have been trying out new ones more and more. Today's post is on Isadora Matte Metallic Liquid Lipstick and I have shades 81 Rose Gold, 83 Burgundy Bite and 84 Purple Powder (7ml, 13.21 EUR). There is altogether 6 shades available in this collection.

The liquid lipsticks come in a clear tubes and I like that I'm able to see the color of the product. The applicator is standard doe foot applicator. The formula of it feels light and its easy to glide on. These all 3 shades have metallic finish and the formula of it is long lasting, which makes it drying. The pigmentation of the lighter shade is amazing and applies so well. The darker shades don't apply as well, its patchy. You can see it for yourself on the swatches below.

I have been applying the darker shades on top of lipliners (the same shade family) and I can get the result I want. That way it also feels more comfortable on lips, not as drying.

The staying power of it is good, but it does come off after having food and I need to reapply it.

Overall I like these, but I can't say I love these, because I have issue how the darker shades apply. I wish the darker shades would apply more evenly. If you wanna check the shade out for yourself you can do so here. The Rose Gold shade is stunning and applies evenly.

Which is your favorite liquid lipstick at the moment?

Review: I Heart Makeup I Heart Obsession | Wild is the Wind

Hi loves! Today's post is on affordable makeup item and its on I Heart Makeup I Heart Obsession in Wild is the Wind (17g, €5.59).

This palette contains 10 eyeshadows from shimmers to mattes. And it all comes in a clear plastic compact. It did come with a brush, but I tossed it a long time a go.

This is very affordable palette and I feel it shows in the quality of it. I would say its not their best palette. I have tried better from the brand to be honest and I hoped for more. The formula of the shadows is vegan, gluten free and its not tested on animals.

I can make this palette work for me and get the result I want, but it takes bit of work for me. The problem for me is the pigmentation. These are not as richly pigmented and the mattes are powdery. The only shadow, which has a good quality is the second shadow on the second row. I didn't have any issues blending these shadows out and I didn't experience any creasing (I always wear eyeshadow primer under every look).

You can see on the pictures above how poor the pigmentation is and I did need to build the swatches up for them to show up at all (specially with the first shade from the 1st row).

Down below you can see a look I did with this palette and how everything applied. I really did have a hard time getting it to look the way I wanted.

Overall I'm not impressed by this palette and I expected more. I think I'll keep using it time to time, but its not going to be my most used palettes for sure.

Have you tried anything from the brand before?

Review: Unik Black Snail Restore Serum

Hi loves! I have been testing out Unik Black Snail Restore Serum (50ml, $15.49) and it was sent to me to try out.

The serum comes in a glass bottle and has a dropper. This serum is nourishing, lifting, whitening and has wrinkle care. It contains 70% black snail extract instead of purified water to nourish the skin. It contains 5 black supper foods:  black bean, black sesame, black rice, kelp, eggplant. These are full of antioxidants and give the skin youthful look. The formula of it sinks into the skin fast and its not sticky and there is no scent to it, so beauties with sensitive skin can use it too.  Down below you can see the full list of the ingredients.

IngredientsSnail Secretion Filtrate, Centella Asiatica Leaf Water, Methylpropanediol, Glycerin, Niacinamide, Glycereth-26, Water, 1,2-Hexanediol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Saccharomyces/Viscum Album (Mistletoe) Ferment Extract, Lactobacillus/Soybean Ferment Extract, Laminaria Japonica Extract, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Seed Extract, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Extract, Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Extract, Solanum Melongena (Eggplant) Fruit Extract, Saccharomyces/Imperata Cylindrica Root Ferment Extract, Caprylyl Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Allantoin, Centella Asia Tica Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Artemisia Vulgaris Extract, Vaccinum Angustifolium (Blueberry) Fruit Extract, Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Extract, Rosa Canina Fruit oil, Carbomer, Arginine, Pentylene Glycol, Adenosine, Ethylhexylglycerin, Xanthan Gum, Aspalathus Linearis Extract

All the info on the ingredients is from EWG's Skin Deep Cosmetics Database(low hazardmedium hazardhigh hazard). If I haven't colored an ingredient it means I didn't find it in the database.

I have oily skin and I have been using this serum over a month now and I haven't used even half of it up. It has kept my skin smooth, hydrated, bright and firm. I haven't noticed it doing anything for my wrinkle though. Its still there and looks the same. I do wanna mention I always take good care of my skin and use anti-aging products regularly. My skin is in the same condition when I use my high end skincare products. So that says to me its still wonderful serum and I like how it makes my skin feel. It hasn't irritated or caused any brake outs, so its another plus to it.

If you are interested checking it out, you can o so here. I have reviewed one of their other serums on the blog and you can read about it here. Hope you enjoyed this post :)
